Everyone should have the right to basic medical care. Millions in Bangladesh are forced to go without healthcare altogether. Public hospitals are too few and doctor’s fees too high for these poor people to afford.

Despite the presence of thousands of private clinics, and promises from the Bangladeshi government to make medicines affordable for the poor, basic drugs still remain priced out of their reach.

The inability to pay means people needlessly suffer easily curable illnesses. Many often sell what little they posses to receive treatment, leaving them poorer than they were. The result is increased poverty.

For as little as 30 pence a day you can help provide the poor people of Bangladesh access to essential health care.

Needycare is working to raise awareness of preventative measures, arranging free consultation with doctors, and dispensing basic drugs. In addition we are now running a free ambulance service in remote regions, helping the poor to reach hospitals quicker in life threatening situations.

A healthy people can become a self-supporting and prosperous community.
